Devon & Cornwall Show: First all-waterfowl show in the UK - BWA Championship Show - NEXT SHOW SUNDAY 30th NOVEMBER 2008

Devon & Cornwall Show is normally held on the last Sunday in November each year. It is usually the largest waterfowl show in the UK, attracting between 700 and 950 entries..

This was the 25th Anniversary Show - 28th November 2004

The Show Committee was delighted to appoint Tom Bartlett, Keith and Fiona Bradley, Gerald Donnelly, Pat Lawrence and Anne Terrell as judges for this extra special show. Tom travelled down from Scotland, and Gerald Donnelly, top Canadian waterfowl breeder, spent a week in Britain. This year, there were more visitors than ever before through the door, and the host of trade stands were busy for the day. Breed club stands and displays were provided by the Call Duck Association, the Goose Club and the Indian Runner Duck Association.

A display of heavy and light ducks was provided by the show committee.

In addition to the perpetual trophies and BWA specials, every exhibitor 2004 got a commemorative bone china mug. Special plates were awarded for every Best of Breed, Reserve Show Champion and Show Champion. Jackie Jarvis produced a beautiful set of models of every breed. These were awarded to the Best Opposite Sex of each breed.
